Tanya walked around to each table and greeted the attendants who sat and waited for the auction to begin. At a distance, she noticed the committee members nodding their approval of the decorations and the professionalism in which Tanya produced the event. She smiled to acknowledge their presence, then proceeded to check on the eligibles.
She entered the ladies dressing room and helped with last minute
preparations before heading to the mens dressing room to do the same.
She kissed Cupid on his lips and told him to flaunt himself so that he
could get high bids. He smiled and told her to make sure that her bid
was the highest as she walked away. Tanya presented herself on stage
and the program was ready to start. Music began to play as the
audience gave her an ovation for her hard work on the event.
"Thank you," she began to address the audience, "thank you all. Let
me say first that this event could not have been possible if it were not for
the kindness that you all have in your heart. I stand here thinking about
the many people who will be benefiting from tonights event and it makes
all the hard work that has gone into it, worth it. I think of the many
people that this disease has taken away and my heart smiles because the
money that we will raise tonight will in some way make a difference in
someones life. With that said, I encourage you to sit back and enjoy the
show."
Tanya stepped away from the stage microphone and relocated to the
podium off of the stage.
"The first lady to captivate you is Amber. She stands 57", 135lbs of
sheer intelligence and beauty. Amber graduated from USC with a 4.0
GPA and BA in Business Management. She is the Vice President of
Music Publishing at Reel-to-Reel Records and the CEO of One-on-One
Consulting here in LA. Ambers long-term goals include developing an
outreach program for troubled youths. She hopes to give them an
opportunity to make a difference in their lives as well as someone elses.
We will begin the bidding at $25.00."
As Amber walked the stage, bids were made. Tanya announced each
bid as it came in and other men hoping to get a date with Amber and not
be outdone continued to increase their bid. With the offer standing at
$375.00, Amber smiled as she noticed the two men dueling for her
company. The smile seemed to be all it took as the last bid of $500.00
was made.
"Going once, going twice," Tanya began counting down, "sold to the
gentleman holding placard number 23."
Applause and whistles went up for Amber as she waived and exited
the stage.
"Lets keep the fun going," Tanya said as she prepared to introduce
the next participant. "Next up is CJ everybody. CJ is a Retail Assistant
at a Beverly Hills store. She stands 55" tall and is 130lbs of pure
attitude, not an attitude with a smart mouth. Its one that says I am
determined to get the job done. One of CJs long-term goals is to become
a Physical Therapist. Her favorite thing to do is to sit back and listen to
music with a glass of wine and a good man. The only problem CJ has is
theres no man. Whos ready to sit in that empty chair? Lets start the
bidding at $25.00."
