Gwen had her new do and was on her way to meet CJ at La Petite Four in the Sunset Plaza. When Gwen arrived she saw that CJ was already there. CJ stood up and greeted Gwen with a hug.
"It's good to see you again," CJ said as they sat down.
"Same here."
"Girl your hair looks good, where did you get it done at?"
"Over at Split Endz, a lady by the name of Gigi did it."
"Well she did a wonderful job."
"I'm thinking of getting it braided next week,"
Gwen stated.
"The one thing I like about these braids is the fact that they're easy
maintenance, just get up and go."
"That's what I need."
While they sat talking, the waiter came over to their table.
"Hey CJ,"
the waiter spoke as he placed rolls and water on their table.
"Hey Ricardo,"
CJ replied.
"Ricardo, I would like for you to meet my
friend Gwen. Gwen this is Ricardo,"
CJ said introducing the two.
"Nice to meet you Ricardo,"
Gwen said. Ricardo replied the same.
"Well,"
Gwen spoke,
"since you come here a lot you can order for the
both of us."
"You trust my judgment?"
"If I didn't I wouldn't be here."
"That's good to know,"
CJ replied as she began to place their order.
"OK Ricardo, let us have the grilled chicken Caesar salad and iced
tea."
"Thank you, it will be here shortly."
Ricardo spoke as he placed
silverware on their table.
"Mmm," Gwen said, "that sounds wonderful."
"Trust me," CJ said happily, "it is wonderful."
While the girls sat talking, they took notice of the many people who
drove by looking to see who was sitting on the boulevard. As they sat,
two men approached their table. One wearing shorts and a tank top the
other wearing a Nike sweat suit.
"Hi," the man with the sweat suit on spoke, "I'm Terry, is there
something that I can get for you ladies?"
"Are you a waiter?" CJ asked.
The two men hear chuckles from a table close by.
"Awe," Terry spoke, "why you gotta get your clown on?"
"'Cause this is the exact thing that we're tired of," CJ spoke with an
attitude.
"You tired of what?" Terry asked.
"We are tired of men trying to come up with a way to talk to a woman
instead of just talking to her," CJ replied.
"Well I'm sorry," Terry said, "you was just so beautiful and I couldn't
help myself."
"You ain't learned, 'cause you still kickin' non-sense,"
CJ replied.
"And by the way,"
Gwen said,
"you should never be sorry, you should
always apologize, 'cause it's too many sorry people in the world."
