Jes thought about it for a minute. "Girl I need to get out anyway, I'd love to join you."
Jes quickly gave Tanya directions to the house and changed her
clothes.
Tanya pulled up in a white 1998 Toyota Landcruiser and blew the
horn for Jes to come out. While Tanya sat waiting for Jes, she decided to
change the CD in the player. Tanya began listening to Keith Washington
hit song, Kissing You. While the CD played, Tanya sat patiently waiting
for Jes. Finally, through the tinted windows of Tanya's vehicle, she saw
Jes approaching. As Jes climbed into the vehicle, Tanya could see that
Jes had change clothes and freshened up a bit so she asked her if she
was just late, or was she fashionably late. The girls shared a laugh and
proceeded on their way.
"Ooo girl," Jes spoke, "I love me some Keith Washington. This is the
kind of music that used to get me in the mood to make love."
Tanya didn't respond she only smiled.
"What are you smiling about," Jes asked?
"Oh just thinking about those days."
"What days," Jes asked with a look that said freaky deaky.
"The days when I used to make love to the sensuous lyrics of Prince
or the manly voice of Barry White or even the comforting voices of
Freddie Jackson or Luther Vandross."
Surprisingly, Jes asked Tanya what she meant by "used to."
"I used to make love to all of those records and I still do, it's just not
the way you think since I've been violated."
"Oh, well that I can understand. I wouldn't expect for you to still
have the same sex drive."
"No," Tanya spoke, "I still have the same sex drive, my love making
has just changed."
Being a little confused, Jes asked Tanya what she meant by her
statement. Tanya told Jes that they could just say that she had become
a little more selective with the people she chose to make love to. Jes
agreed with Tanya and didn't say another word because she didn't want
Tanya to ask her any questions about her lovemaking. Jes felt that if the
conversation persisted, it would put her in a position to talk about her
being raped.
"Here we are," Tanya said, through the silence of conversation. "OK
Jes, when we get in there, I'll introduce you and they may ask you your
occupation and where you work just to familiarize you with everyone and
everyone with you. Once we sit down, the instructor will talk for about
five minutes and turn the floor over to the class. Now when we get on
the panel, we'll go through a script, just read it word for word."
