The two laugh as they remember the parked car that sat on the side of the road.
"Once I got control of the car, we looked for a spot that would allow us
to see the view of the city. We found this one," Brandon said, as he
looked Gwen deeply into her eyes.
"We sat and talked for a moment,
then from no where you reached over and started kissing me. I began to
caress your breast and slide my hands in between the skirt you were
wearing. You asked me how much I loved you and I told you that words
could never express the love I felt for you."
Gwen sat in silence as she listened to Brandon tell the story of their
first sexual experience together. She was impressed that Brandon
remembered every detail, every movement, every question and it all made
her feel that love that she once had for him.
"Brandon," Gwen cut him off, "what ever happened to us?"
Brandon took a moment to think about the question, and then he
answered.
"I happened with us. I guess I wasn't man enough to see what I really
had. Sometimes we think that the world is a much better place if we
have all the things of the world, until we lose the one thing that means
the world to us. Then we realize that we had the world all along. I
realize now, that you were all I ever needed. I can't change what I have
done, and I don't know if I am sorry for what I have done, because losing
you was the best thing that ever happened to me."
"How can that be?" Gwen asked confusingly.
"Without losing you, I would have never found the better man inside
of me. Though I lost you, I gained me."
"I wonder why we have to be hurt or give hurt to someone before we
become the people that we need to be in a relationship? I guess those
are things GOD wants us to see for ourselves."
Brandon and Gwen sat for a few more moments in silence until the
song had gone off.
"Are you ready to go home now Gwen?"
"Only if you will stay with me tonight?"
Brandon smiled and asked Gwen if that would be wise with her
current situation. He explained to her that he felt as though she was a
little vulnerable and he would be taking advantage of her condition.
"I assure you that I am fine. I would just like to spend this evening in
the arms of someone that loves me."
"Gwen I would love to hold you tonight."
